So we are very excited about the new look armor of "Skyrim". there have been a few changes to the programing since Oblivion. Matt Carafano the lead artist for the game had this to say;

" The armor system is very similar to oblivion's. the main difference is that the upper and the lower body armors, the cuirass and the greaves, have been combined into one piece. this helps create armor styles that have the look we needed for skyrim. in most of the Nordic designs we created, the upper armor would completely cover the lower armour, making it unnecessary. we get much better visual results combining those pieces, and it renders a lot faster too, so we can put more people on screen, so that was an easy trade off for us. we can also make a lot more armors now so the number and variation types and more than we've ever had."

Well i guess this is good and bad news, sounds like gone are the days of epic 7 people wars of "Oblivion" due to the ability to have more people on screen but the news that the armor will now be a one piece makes me fear for the immersive element to the game one of my favored parts of the old games was the huge amount of customization to you avatar.
also its difficult to find much information about the clothes of "Skyrim" if your like me then you will spend most of your time sneaking around putting an arrow into someones back 3 miles away so  it is important to know that my huntsman moccasins wont be letting people know im in the shadows, but i will do my best for you so keep an eye out for future posts.

so to some up who knows if this armor situation is a good move or not but i would imagine the boys of Bethesda know what they are doing. let us know what you think?

P.S the Elven armor look AMAZING!!!

A sample video of creatures found in skyrim, I'm loving mammoths by the way.

     loving all of these!!

This is a very interesting pic, hopefully dogs will be more helpful in skyrim than they were in other games, fables III dog ended up being a pain.

A little taste of vampirism.

As in Oblivion there will be chances to become a vampire not the hollywood blockbuster sexy twilight vampire, a proper scary bad ass vampire, becoming a vampire has its pro's and cons as you can imagine. Todd Howard confirmed to G4. Being a bloodsucker will completely transform how the game is played, and features progressive vampiric levels (PrO), receiving damage from sunlight (con), and sneaking up on sleeping victims for a midnight feast (Pro).

Just wondering what sort of quest you could do as a vampire, I did enjoy playing oblivion that way for a while.

Are you guys for or against vampires?

Hopefully the vampires will suck, but in a totally different way to this one!

Have you heard about the Legions?

The other day i was reading through a PAX play through article which is actually of some interest of mine. It was called 'my hour in skyrim' and in which a little snippet of information was released, and that information is as follows (contain your self) and I quote:
"What we had come to was an ex-fort that acted more as a military town of sorts. Even after contributing to the locale’s economy by doing a spot of milling – basically just a series of button clicks at various places on the wood mill – the locals looked down on our reptilian warrior and treated him as an outsider. We were offered a quest to join the Imperial Legion here though, so it’s not all doom and gloom."

Now I didn't play Morrowind, but I know people who did and many a time i've heard them say "I really do hope skyrim lets you join the legion again like in Morrowind."  Apparently they'd give you quest and get a little touchy about wearing the correct armour.

And as we know, a Rebel faction known as ‘The Stormcloaks’ will be gracing our screens. It seems now that we'll be able to play either side or even both, and maybe it wont be in vein. Maybe the world will change according to your chioces, who knows? We can only hope.
What would you do, play two sides against each other? Or stay true to the empire?
The choice is YOURS!

Rating (15).

After some searching and pondering over whether or not the rating (15) was correct, I stumbled upon a website called TheEscapist.com and I read skyrim has been given a (15) rating here in the UK, and unlike other parts of the world it is enforced by law, so anyone under the age of 15 wont be able to rock up on the 11/11/11 and collect the most treasured title to date. The reasoning behind this is that unlike oblivion, which was considered to be moderately violent, skyrim has been considered as strongly violent.
So far I've not heard any news on USA ratings, and i'm not totally sure on how things work.
I for one am glad of the higher rank, maybe we can expect to see a little more blood & some other obscene stuff.

What would you like to see??

Nords are being made in the thousands!

As pictured on BethBlog, these life-sized Nord statues are soon going to be showing up in game stores as part of the marketing hype leading up to the release of...
